Blue Bell honors Pitner at Learning Way

Mary Pitner has dedicated her life to being an exceptional educator, and is currently on of the three finalists for the 2012-2013 Tennessee Teacher of the Year Award.

To honor her achievement, a representative of Blue Bell ice cream visited Learning Way Elementary to acknowledge Pitner and give each and every student of the school an ice cream sandwich.

Later this month, Pitner and other county educators will attend a ceremony where the recipient of the award will be announced.
