I remember when I was 5, standing on a box and putting sorghum cane into the mill so that we could make molasses. I have fond memories of those days with my family.
I remember going to South Carolina to visit my aunt. We would go to the beach and do all kinds of fun things. One year there was a big flood and we were all outside playing and splashing in the water. Good times!
One of my favorite childhood memories is winning the Celebration on my mare of a lifetime that my Dad trained. He is no longer with us so sharing that memory with him will always hold a special place in my heart.

I remember going over to my grandparents when my uncle used to visit from Memphis. We would have a big meal and play baseball in the front yard. All of our kin were there, and even some that weren't! That was really a great time in my life!
I remember going to stay with my grandparents and they would take me shopping!
I remember playing football with the guys, and also hide and go seek. Those were the days when we stayed out until the street lights came on, then we knew we had to be home! Good times!
I remember Christmas morning with my brother and sister. My mom had to hide the presents over and over so we wouldn't find them! I also remember trick or treating every Halloween. Lots of great memories!
When I was about 12, I remember taking a cruise to the Bahamas with my parents. We went snorkeling in a sunken ship and deep sea fishing. All of the people talked about our heavy southern accents! I remember losing the card I had to get back on the ship. My dad is quite the jokester and told me that I would have to stay in the Bahamas because without my card they wouldn't let me back on the cruise ship -- I totally believed him! We still laugh about that!
