The Southside School's choir saluted veterans during its program Nov. 11. It has become tradition for the Southside Salamanders to sing some of their favorite patriotic songs during the special program.
Jacob Hauser, Gage LeMaster and Declan LeMaster, who were honored to lead the Pledge of Allegiance, hold the small flags that all of the Southside students waved as they sang, "We are Thankful for the USA."
Southside art teacher Andrea Nix did an artistic tribute to the veterans as part of the program.
Veteran Alan Bell receives a flag from his sons Ethan and Keagan Bell.
It has become a tradition for the Southside faculty to sing "Salute to the Armed Forces" each year for the Veteran's Day program. Veterans are honored as they stand for their respective branches of service.
