Southside Elementary School held its second annual Forty Fun Friday fundraiser award night on October 5th complete with inflatables, an obstacle course, pizza and lots of other fun activities. Students who brought in at least $40 in donations got to stay after school and participate. Students started out in the gym with a short cartoon and then split up into grades to go to the different stations. Students tossed horse shoes, rings, beanbags and frisbees, bowled, blew bubbles and created drawings with sidewalk chalk. The fund raising event was planned by first grade teachers Caron Lovvorn and Regina Campbell who are co-chairs of the PTO committee. Six thousand dollars was raised for the school.
