Special thanks to Harris Middle School 8th graders for participating in this week's Small Talk.
I would like to change the rule that I have to do homework as soon as I get home from school.
I would like to make a rule where I could come home, relax and do my homework later in the evening. (Keely Smith)
I would change the do not talk back rule that we have at home. I would make a new rule that there would be more discussion between my parents and myself when it come to things that involve me.
I would like to have a chance to state my opinion. (Corvin Giles)
I would change the rule that I have to take out the garbage each day. The new rule would be that my bother or sister had to take out the garage each day.
I do not like having to wash dishes after each meal. I get food on my hands when I am cleaning the plates and that is gross. I like a rule that I have to make my bed each morning. I can just throw the covers at the
bed and if it looks good where they land, well, then bed is made. (Katlynn Scivally)
I would change the rule that I have to wake up in the mornings to an alarm clock that I have to set.
I would have a rule that someone else would wake me up each morning. I do not like the sound that my alarm clock makes. (Jessica Davis)
I would have my mother be more strict with me in what she allows me to do would be a rule that I would change.
I think she is to lenient when it comes to rules for me around the house. So I would have a new rule where things are more strict. (Liseth Camarillo)
