A severe thunderstorm left a trail of damage across northern Shelbyville late Wednesday night, Aug. 3, 2011.

"Never in my 87 years have I seen lightning like that. It was constant," Calvin Bledsoe of Edmond Road said of Thursday's storm. He's looking at a plastic piece of his chimney which blew into his side yard.
