United Way of Bedford County held an appreciation luncheon on Sept. 9 to kick off the 2010 fund-raising campaign and recognize award winners from the previous year's campaign.

Attendees at the United Way of Bedford County appreciation luncheon enjoyed chicken breast, rice and salad, along with other treats. More than 80 attended the event.

Jostens was recognized by United Way of Bedford County for having the best employee campaign kickoff event. Ricky Davis of Jostens accepted the award from campaign chairman Tonya Davis.

Bedford County government won United Way of Bedford County's Derryberry Award for the best United Way employee campaign by an organization with 100 or more employees.
