An addition to tradition

Christy Warren and grandsons Caine and Andon Warren continued their holiday cheer by delivering "cuddlies" to local nursing homes.

Christy and Caine have teamed up for the mission for the past several years and this was the first year 8-year-old Andon joined in the fun.

"Andon took Christmas on with a whole new meaning," Christy said of her youngest grandson, who's a third grade student at Southside Elementary School. "And Caine is 12 now and he still loves it. He calls me the captain; he's the supervisor and Andon is the rookie.

"We'll keep doing this as long as we can, as long as we have the stuff."

Christy collects items all year long -- things like stuffed animals (cuddlies), toiletries, and other small gifts -- spends a day bagging the items and then spends a day delivering to nursing homes Glen Oaks and Christian Care Center.
