There's a reason why semi-trucks are not allowed on Shelbyville's public square, as an unidentified trucker driving for a Bowling Green, Ky. firm discovered Tuesday morning when he became trapped in traffic, blocking other motorists who were trying to get through the square. Emergency personnel place a blanket over cold 16-year-old Brayden Butler of Shelbyville shortly after her arm was freed from under her car following a crash late Tuesday afternoon on Fairfield Pike east of Cascade School. Butler lost control coming off a curve, ran down an embankment, struck a tree and overturned, State Trooper Barry Qualls said. Her arm was pinned under the car for approximately 15-20 minutes, with some rescue workers delayed for a few minutes by a passing train. She was taken to Heritage Medical Center for treatment. The truck driven by John Sprinkle, 47, of Sims Road was badly smashed in a head-on crash late Monday afternoon on Dixon Road, about a mile off State Highway 130 West. Sprinkle crossed the center line in the small and hit a truck head-on driven by William O'Nan, 58, who recently moved to Bedford County from Kentucky and is building a home on Pickle Road, State Trooper Barry Qualls said.
