Bank manager pleads guilty in fraud case

The branch manager of FirstBank in Shelbyville pleaded guilty in federal court in Chattanooga Wednesday to a charge of making a false entry in bank records while he was employed with another local financial institution.
Ronald Frank Bell of Shelbyville waived indictment and arraignment and pleaded guilty to making a false entry in bank records in violation of Title 18 United States Code Section 1005.

Bedford County deputies made several arrests after discovering two methamphetamine labs on Monday, one with fumes so powerful that three officers required medical attention. Two more methamphetamine labs have been uncovered by Bedford County deputies -- except this time, authorities weren't even looking for the source of the dangerous drug. Documents released by federal prosecutors in regards to Carrie Snow's sentencing memorandum included copies of Snow's and Roger Ritch's 2008 interviews with the FBI that detail how the mortgage fraud scheme evolved.
