City Council studies taser guns for police

Top on the agenda of the Shelbyville City Council's study session last night was the police department's request for the purchase of taser guns. The department has already puchased one gun to test it out but would like to purchase nine more. Shelbyville Police Lt. Trey Clanton was on hand to educate the council on this "less lethal option" for the department. He said the funds would come from the police equipment fund and would not cost the city any further money...

Cole indicted for pharmacy robbery
