NASHVILLE - Instead of the "Bad News Bears," it was the "Bad News Titans." It wasn't a baseball game. Nor was it the "Bad News Bears" in action. It was the Chicago Bears and, most noticeable, it wasn't the type of football Titans fans have grown accustomed to over the past few years...

A single-vehicle wreck about 1:30 a.m. Sunday on State Highway 82 South near the New Hope Road intersection took the life of an off-duty member of the Bedford County Sheriff's Department. Capt. Jimmy Parker, 56, New Herman Road, who was serving as chief administrator of the department, apparently died instantly when his truck skidded, went off an embankment and struck a rock wall bordering the driveway of the Annie Harris home...
