Charles Howard "Beanie" Bell, 75, of Shelbyville died Tuesday at Bedford County Medical Center. Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Hillcrest Funeral Home with the Revs. George Wagner and Bobby McGee officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.

'Our Very Own' tickets on sale Saturday (Local News ~ 08/03/05)
Tickets for the Sunday, Aug. 14, screenings of "Our Very Own" will be available starting this Saturday only at the Capri Theater box office. Wartrace Horse Show celebrates 99 years (Local News ~ 08/03/05)
The Wartrace Horse Show will be held Saturday at 6 p.m. on Jernigan Field, drawing horse lovers from all over the country as the Celebration approaches. City wants to amend growth boundary (Local News ~ 08/03/05)
The Shelbyville City Council will ask the planning commission to begin the process of amending the city's Urban Growth Boundary. The matter was raised during the Tuesday night study session. Womack winning battle with lymphoma (Local News ~ 08/03/05)
Andy Womack, who represented the 16th District, including all of Bedford County, for 12 years in the State Senate, has been battling non-Hodgkin's lymphoma since April, but expects to make a complete recovery. The disease has been attributed to exposure to Agent Orange during Womack's service in Vietnam from April 1967 to April 1968.
