Bedford County's school board has $209,000 in its budget for fuel, but has no choice on the price it's going to pay even though the one set of bids it received seems favorable. Planners back down on subdivision plans (Local News ~ 08/17/05)
With a standing room only crowd watching Tuesday night, the Shelbyville Planning Commission rescinded its approval of a final plat for a subdivision that brought protesting residents out in force two weeks ago. What has residents of Campbell Estates and nearby areas in an uproar is the proposed Stones Throw subdivision, which consists of 52.86 acres located off South Cannon Boulevard near Naron Road.
