Bedford County Sheriff Clay Parker got a recommendation last week which, if approved as anticipated, will allow him to tell inmates at the county jail and workhouse, "Smile! You're on a county camera." Bell Buckle goes against planners' advice (Local News ~ 08/20/05)
Despite advice to the contrary from state planners, Bell Buckle's planning commission passed on the issue over a water tap for a subdivision on the edge of its Urban Growth Area to the town council without recommendation. Greg Curl has requested a 6-inch water line extension with 18 taps for the Meadowview Estates subdivision, which will have a Wartrace mailing address.
