It's a given that any journalist always has an opinion. When I spoke at the Rotary Club of Shelbyville's Career Day a week or two ago, I told one group of teenagers that good journalists, responsible journalists, learn to recognize their own biases and keep them out of their story. It doesn't mean we don't have an opinion one way or the other; it just means that we are professional enough to report the facts...

Cascade's Juan Licea was tackled from behind in the penalty box and allowed a penalty kick just minutes before the final horn at Webb. Feet struggle in Franklin

Webb fell 10-1 to Centennial in Franklin on Friday afternoon. The Cougars (4-1-1) jumped out to a 4-0 lead after a quarter and increased their advantage to 7-0 just before halftime. The Feet's Matthew Johnson netted their goal in the final quarter. "Probably one of the more disappointing losses we've had since I've been (at Webb)," Feet coach Jon Bloom said. "We just didn't play well the entire game. I guess it's back to the drawing board."...

Champs squeeze out win over Moore Co. (High School Sports ~ 03/19/06)
Moore County battled back from a two-run deficit to tie the score at 4-all in the top of the seventh against host Cascade to send matters to extra innings. In the bottom of the eighth, Champion Matt Bain bunted his way on and eventually scored the game-winner on Moore County's fourth error of the game...
