Elsie Pilkington, 76, of Shelbyville died Thursday at Glen Oaks Convalescent Center. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Monday at Gowen-Smith Chapel with Charles Gwinn and James Gragg officiating. Burial will follow at Willow Mount Cemetery.

A Florida couple will not seek a rehearing from a circuit court judge who denied their adoption request last week involving a boy who is back with his family in Bell Buckle, but an appeal is possible, according to their attorney.
