I realized as I rose this morning that the days are already beginning to shorten. Only a few days ago the sun beat me in rising at 5 a.m., but today the sky was dark, and not just with the clouds that promised to bathe the earth with rain. Change is again in the air...

Questions delay com center lease

Car hijacked as woman dumps trash

Two young men, one armed, stole a car from a woman depositing trash into recycling bins at Thomas Intermediate School, Tate Avenue, early Monday afternoon. "We need your car. Kerry Alexander Holland, 38, of Shelbyville, died Sunday at Bedford County Medical Center. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at First Seventh-day Adventist Church, where he was a member, with Myron Edmonds officiating. Burial will follow at 2:30 p.m. at Oakwood Memorial Gardens in Huntsville, Ala. Visitation will begin 10 a.m. Thursday at the church. Feldhaus Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
