Jacob West and Seth Jarrell combined to pitch a three-hit shutout as the Shelbyville 14-year-old All-Stars downed Sparta 12-0 on Sunday to reach the semifinal round of the Babe Ruth area tournament at H.V. Griffin Park. West pitched the first four innings before giving way to Jarrell in the fifth with a 1-0 lead after allowing just three hits and one base on balls. Marvin Elvin Lumbley, 90, of Normandy died Saturday at his home. Funeral services were today at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home in Winchester with the Rev. Larry Bradford officiating. Burial followed at Green Cemetery in Belvidere.
