Suit against city moved to federal court (Local News ~ 09/27/07)
A suit filed by a former building official for Shelbyville has been moved to federal court, the T-G has learned. Wayne Williams, a 12-year employee of the city, is suing his former employer for breach of contract and wrongful termination. Papers were filed in Bedford County Circuit Court in May, but the case has been removed to the Winchester Division of the U.S. District Court's Eastern District of Tennessee by the city due to constitutional issues, according to City Manager Ed Craig... -
