Running a stop sign leads to pot find (Local News ~ 11/01/07)
An officer who requested to search a vehicle she stopped for allegedly running a stop sign was rewarded with a marijuana find. Officer Tracey Nelson placed K-9 Remy into a car driven by Ashlee Robyn Lyon, 20, Bryant Street, early Tuesday night on North Brittain Street. Remy sniffed Lyon's purse, where Nelson said she found two "roaches" and a pipe, and under the passenger side seat, where approximately 1.71 grams of marijuana was found in a plastic bag... -

Daylight-Saving bug hits some computers (Local News ~ 11/01/07)
Steve Mallard of Tennessee Technology Center at Shelbyville says that many databases and programs are being affected because they haven't been updated to reflect the new schedule for Daylight-Saving Time. Starting this year, Daylight Saving Time began earlier than in the past, and it will end this weekend, later than in the past. Some computer systems have not been updated to reflect this, and some software publishers haven't attempted to "push" patches or updates out to their customers...
