CBAT enviornmental statement likely in a few weeks (Local News ~ 12/17/07)
The final environmental impact statement (EIS) for the U.S. Air Force's Common Battlefield Airman Training (CBAT) project is still under review and could be released within the next few weeks, an Air Force spokesperson said today. The EIS was scheduled to be released on Saturday but, according to Air Force spokesperson Shirley Curry, the review process is taking "longer than anticipated" and could be released in a manner of weeks or even days... -

Thomas: Lack of effort beat Eagles (High School Sports ~ 12/17/07)
Shelbyville Central coach Kevin Thomas was very disappointed in the lack of effort he saw in the Golden Eagles' 58-48 loss to visiting Wilson Central on Saturday night. Second school attire forum set this week (Local News ~ 12/17/07)
The next scheduled forum on Standardized School Attire (SSA) will be Thursday at 5:45 at Cascade High School, prior to the meeting of Bedford County Board of Education at 7 p.m. at the school. This will be the second of four scheduled public forums on the contentious issue; the first was held last month at Liberty School.
