A drinking water warning was issued for the system last week due to high turbidity levels and the potential of contaminated water. A thief took $400 in proceeds from Girl Scout cookie sales Tuesday from a van parked on Tate Street. Brandon Butler of Shelbyville said the money had been left between the front seats. No signs of forced entry were found by Shelbyville police. Bathe said he had made a purchase using money from the wallet during the taxi ride.
