Funeral services for Norman F. Dashiell Sr., 79, of Shelbyville, who died Tuesday at Southern Hills Medical Center in Nashville, will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at Mullins Chapel A.M.E. Church. Burial will follow at Erwin Stokes Cemetery in Shelbyville. Visitation with the family will be noon until service time on Monday at the church. Scales & Sons Funeral Home in Murfreesboro is in charge of arrangements.

Workshop to ease path for prospective citizens

El Centro Latino of Shelbyville and Bedford County and the Tennessee Immigrant and Refugee Rights Coalition (TIRRC) have announced a citizenship workshop on Saturday, Aug. 23.
