Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel, Murfreesboro, with Ron Harper, Leamon Flatt, and Cy Wiser officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Murfreesboro. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday.

Nina Kay Whitaker Porter, 28, of Shelbyville, died Sunday at Heritage Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. John E. Brown officiating. Burial will follow at Antioch Cemetery. Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday at Sledge Funeral Home, Fayetteville, and 1 to 2 p.m. Friday at the church.

CULLEOKA -- The bitterly cold climate carried over to the shooting touch of the Cascade Champions on Monday evening as a 3-for-21 effort from the field in the opening half left them down 26-7 to the Culleoka Classic host Warriors. The Champs huddled around the locker room bonfire at the half and came out blazing in the third quarter.
