A video and a tip led to the arrest of a suspect in several vehicle burglaries in an eastern Shelbyville neighborhood, police said. Dragus Montez Dixon, 18, Neeley Avenue, faces multiple charges, Detective Charles Merlo said. "We had about four or five auto burglaries in the Hillcrest Drive area," Merlo said. Alma Louise Lambert Murphree, 84, of Bruce, Miss., mother of Steve Murphree, of Shelbyville, died Tuesday at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Calvary Baptist Church, Bruce, Miss., where she was a member, with the Rev. Steve Murphree and the Rev. Steve Holiday officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Bruce. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the church. Parker Memorial Funeral Home, Bruce, is in charge of arrangements.
