Rucker Mankin Jr., 84, of Shelbyville, died Tuesday at Middle Tennessee Medical Center in Murfreesboro. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel, in Murfreesboro, with Jim Highland officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Murfreesboro. Visitation with the family will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday.

An alleged fight between two women led to a fight between their husbands in which one was seriously wounded Tuesday night, Shelbyville police said. The Halls Mill Triangle Heritage Club, which recently celebrated its 51st anniversary, will hold its second annual Heritage Days fundraiser Friday, June 26, and Saturday, June 27, at the clubhouse.
