Junior stallions, aged mares highlight Sunday night Celebration program

The Four-Year-Old Walking Stallions and Aged Mares were tops in the show ring on a brisk Sunday night in Shelbyville at the 71st Annual Tennessee Walking Horse National Celebration. The Four-Year-Old Walking Stallions (Canter) class is always a class with a lot of talent and this year was no different. Justin Harris captured the blue ribbon with Lined Walkin. Skylar McKenzie Ullom, 2, of Shelbyville died Saturday at Heritage Medical Center after an extended illness. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Doak-Howell Funeral Home with the Rev. Glenn Forsee officiating. Burial will follow at Willow Mount Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held Monday from 5 to 8 p.m.

Claude Hardison Arnold, 63, of Scottsboro, Ala., formerly of Shelbyville, known as "Red" or "Buddy" Arnold, died Sunday at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville. Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at New Bethel Cemetery followed by burial with full military honors. Visitation with the family will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Scottsboro Funeral Home and 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at Feldhaus Memorial Chapel.
