A Shelbyville man was indicted Monday by the Bedford County grand jury on kidnapping charges. Richard Elam Cathey, Jr., 35, of King Arthur Trailer Court, was indicted for especially aggravated kidnapping and assault. Cathey was charged in May with kidnapping and threatening to kill his ex-girlfriend, with the victim claiming he took her to a hole in the ground and said it would be her grave unless she followed his orders... -

Paul Joseph Brennan, 52, of Murfreesboro, formerly of Shelbyville and Tullahoma, died Monday in Murfreesboro. Memorial services will be held at 5 p.m. Sunday at Living Stones Community Church with the Rev. Eddie Reed officiating. Per his request, his remains were cremated. The family will receive visitors beginning at 4 p.m. at the church. Feldhaus Memorial Chapel is handling arrangements.
