Anella "Ann" Bell Kiser, 69, of Chapel Hill died Sunday morning at her home after an extended illness. Per her wishes she was cremated. There are no services planned at this time. Doak-Howell Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

Cascade sweeps Liberty in season-openers (Community Sports ~ 10/18/11)
Cascade opened the 2011 basketball season with a pair of wins over county rival Liberty on Monday night. Both the Champs and Lady Champs held off Liberty for three-point victories. Pastor Albert E. Lanier, 70, of Unionville died Saturday. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at New Hope M.B. Church in Dickson. Meth lab ingredients found in vehicle

The sound of glass breaking alerted a Bedford County deputy to what turned out to be an alleged meth lab in a vehicle last week near Wartrace, according to a sheriff's department report released Monday.
