Missing teenager gone since Monday (02/09/12)
Authorities are searching for a 16-year-old boy last seen Monday. Jordan Beavers got out of his father's truck at the North Main Street-Madison Street intersection about 11 a.m. and ran away, police said. The youth went to his home and packed a few items before leaving, a Shelbyville police report said. The report added Beavers has family in the Lewisburg area...

On the loose (02/09/12)
More than a dozen cows had a sudden beef with confinement and decided to take a little stroll around Depot Street on Wednesday morning. According to Shelbyville police, the cattle emerged from behind the VFW and lingered around the area of Anthony Lane and Depot Street before checking out the TVA power station. Leverette joins 1,000 point club (02/09/12)

At one time years ago the Tennessee State Rainbow and Brown Trout were caught out of the Obey River near Celina. Today the Obey still fishes very well but there are better places to catch record-breaking trout.
