Fire nipped in the bud (Local News ~ 02/24/12)
Shelbyville firefighters were able to quickly extinguish a small blaze that broke out under the porch of a vacant rental home at 407 E. Lane St. before 1 p.m. Thursday. Driver of stolen truck arrested

A Dickson man claiming he'd driven to Shelbyville to meet a woman contacted through Facebook Chat was arrested early Thursday after police discovered his truck had been reported stolen. Police checked the truck at 1:18 a.m. at Mane Street Center, North Main Street, and discovered Zachary Craig Huff, 19, lying in the seat. Huff initially gave a false name, birth date and Social Security number before admitting his real identity, officers said...

Harold Gene Hudson, 71, of Shelbyville died Friday, Feb. 24, 2012, after an extended illness. Per his request, he was cremated. There will be no services. His cremains will be buried at Willow Mount Cemetery at a later date. Feldhaus Memorial Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
