Cascade FFA recently attended FFA Leadership Training Camp at Camp Clements in Doyle, Tennessee. Eleven members from Cascade joined together with more than 200 members from surrounding counties to attend various classes and workshops. Voting machine inspection not attended (Local News ~ 07/05/12)
No candidates or party representatives turned out Tuesday for the customary voting machine inspection which precedes early voting for the Aug. 2 general and primary elections. Bedford County Administrator of Elections Summer Leverette, seen here holding the register tape documenting that each machine has been zeroed out in preparation for the vote, said it's typical for no one to attend, even though the inspections are announced to candidates, parties and the medial. Behind Leverette are the machines that will be used for early voting, which runs July 13-28. A separate inspection will be held for the machines to be used on Election Day.... -

Marshall Lee Clough

Marshall Lee Clough, 62, of Shelbyville died Wednesday, July 4, 2012 after a short illness. Per her wishes, she was cremated. A celebration of life service will be held at 6 p.m. Friday at First Assembly of God with Glenn Forsee and Jay Pope officiating. Visitation will begin at 4 p.m. Doak-Howell Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
