A trail of glass follows the path from which Jason Faulk, 37, of Clyde Gleaves Road was thrown from his vehicle into a fence late Thursday afternoon on Fairfield Pike just west of Fairfield. Faulk was airlifted from the Cascade High School football field to Vanderbilt Medical Center. According to State Trooper Barry Qualls, Faulk attempted to pass a vehicle, encountered another oncoming vehicle, swerved to miss it and lost control of his Nissan Sentra.
