Hazel Nelson Johnson Reese, 85, of Shelbyville died Sunday, Sept. 30, 2012 at Glen Oaks Health and Rehabilitation Center. Graveside services will be held at noon Tuesday at Hazel Cemetery in Bell Buckle with Donnie Jones officiating. Gowen-Smith Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

School budget amendment delayed again

A study committee appointed by Bedford County Financial Management Committee chose to defer a recommendation on modifying the proposed school system budget amendment in a meeting Monday afternoon.
