Students in the children's drama class at Motlow College are diligently practicing their roles for "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz," which will open on Nov. 1 in Eoff Hall on Motlow's Moore County campus, according to director Debbie Zimmerman, an associate professor of communications and chairman of Motlow's Humanities Department...

Morgan Cunningham, a first-year student at Motlow College, is the recipient of the Lindsay and Eleanor Hall Scholarship, according to Jan Rogers, director of advancement at the college. Cunningham graduated from Central High School in Shelbyville this year. She is following a general studies curriculum at Motlow and said she is "very thankful" to receive the scholarship...

Scott DesJarlais, but Tracy said "I haven't even really thought about that."...

In Bedford County, high school basketball standouts never grow too old to play -- they just become "Dinosaurs." For the past six years, the Shelbyville Parks and Recreation Department has hosted several senior-friendly basketball leagues for men and women, including the standout Dinosaurs, a group of females over age 60 who have performed well in national and state Senior Olympic events...
