Dr. Frederick Michael "Fred" Shofner, 73, of Wartrace died Thursday night, April 25, 2013 following an extended illness. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Shofner Lutheran Church with the Rev. Richard Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Saturday at Doak-Howell Funeral Home.
