Acts booked for 2014 R.O.K. show

Bedford County's emergency services agencies sponsored the first-ever R.O.K. as part of a community-wide Safety Day this past February. Brock Edwards helps daughter Esther pour a glass of lemonade Thursday as son Josiah puts the customer's money into the bag. Esther and Josiah had a lemonade stand in front of Sherwin-Williams on Lane Parkway to help contribute to a family trip to Disney World. Mom Sharon Kay Edwards said the exercise was also intended to help the children's math skills. The lemonade, with a tiny hint of mint, was a perfect remedy for the day's sweltering weather.
