Google dropped a bomb on the technology world last week with the surprise introduction of a tech product costing just $35. Chromecast, a device that plugs into your TV and allows you to view various video services as well as web pages on the TV screen, sold out quickly, both online and at some big box retailers, and Google's web store now lists it as shipping in 3-4 weeks... -
Normandy horse trails closed: TVA

Unauthorized horseback riding trails at Normandy Reservoir are being closed immediately, the Tennessee Valley Authority said Wednesday. "TVA security and local law enforcement officers will enforce trail closure and are authorized to ticket any horseback riders for trespassing," a TVA press release said Tuesday. Wartrace Show ready for 107th chapter

The 107th annual Wartrace Horse Show will begin at 6 p.m. Saturday. The show, to be judged by Joel Weaver of Shelbyville, will feature 30 classes. General admission is $5 and children under 12 are free. Managed by Roy Ferguson, the Wartrace Horse Show is a joint community volunteer effort of the East Bedford Civic Club and the Cascade Parent Teachers Organization.
