Gerald D. Hassell, 80, of Chapel Hill died Saturday, Aug. 10, 2013. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home in Franklin with Larry Hames and Jerry Ladd officiating. Burial will follow at Williamson Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. Monday and beginning at noon Tuesday.

Richard Eugene "Ricky" Howell, Jr. 61, of Chapel Hill, died Sunday, Aug. 11, 2013 in Columbia. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at Lawrence Funeral Home in Chapel Hill. Burial will follow at Swanson Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday.
