Barbecue planning underway (Local News ~ 08/21/13)
The Shelbyville-Bedford County Chamber of Commerce has begun planning for its Firehouse Barbecue, which will be held Monday, Sept. 23 at the Tennessee Fire and Codes Academy. Centerstone, a provider of community-based mental health and addiction services, has expanded its Mental Health First Aid USA training to include a curriculum identifying the unique behavioral health issues of youth, ages 12-25. Centerstone has offered Mental Health First Aid USA addressing adult behavioral health issues since 2011.The new program teaches participants the risk factors and warning signs of mental health problems in adolescents, builds understanding of the importance of early intervention, and teaches individuals how to help an adolescent in crisis or experiencing expanding mental health challenges.. ...
