Airman completes basic training (Other Record ~ 09/25/13)
Air Force Airman Skylar R. Cahill graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas. The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills. Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force. Cahill is the son of Bobbi Cahill-Lujan of Manchester, and Rick Cahill of Shelbyville. He is a 2009 graduate of Coffee County Central High School, Manchester. (Submitted photo) -

Thief is double trouble for store

A man fled Walmart with both a new microwave oven and the refund received for one he'd returned, police said. The suspect brought an oven into the store Thursday and was told by an employee to go get another one so the exchange could be completed, loss prevention personnel told police. He switched them, then left the new one by the bathroom area and asked for a refund instead...
