Moon Pie money (Local News ~ 10/11/13)
Bell Buckle Chamber of Commerce donated funds to the Bell Buckle Volunteer Fire Auxiliary for its help with the 2013 RC Moon Pie 10 Mile Run. Bell Buckle Race Chairman Jenny Hunt presents the $400 check to Bell Buckle Volunteer Fire Auxiliary member Debbie Snell. The auxiliary organizes and serves more than 1,000 runners and volunteers during race day. The auxiliary is a fundraising and support group for the Bell Buckle Volunteer Fire Department. Big night for Eagles; District-leading Lincoln Co. invades for homecoming (High School Sports ~ 10/11/13)

Rec Center upgrades approved

Shelbyville's council has approved extensive repairs and upgrades to the city's recreation center. The council, at its Thursday meeting, authorized issuing an energy saving capital outlay note in an amount not to exceed $1.7 million. Also approved was an energy savings performance contract with Ameresco Inc., including an energy savings agreement and scope of services.
