Cleda Freeman, 84, of Huntsville, Ala., mother of Lynn Dezotell of Shelbyville, died Monday, Oct. 21, 2013. Funeral services will be held at noon Thursday at Berryhill Funeral Home in Huntsville with the Rev. Charles Freeman officiating. Burial will follow at Valhalla Memorial Gardens. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m.

Vehicle thief strikes city

A wave of thefts from vehicles struck northern and western Shelbyville over the weekend, stretching from near Eakin Elementary School to the northwest city limits. All of the items were stolen from unlocked vehicles, Shelbyville police said. Mattress-filled trailer stolen from Corsicana
