Depot Street lights go live

The long-dangerous Depot Street-Coney Island Road-Bethany Lane intersection became safer at midday Friday when new traffic signals were turned on. At one point a police officer was standing in the intersection pointing at the lights to alert drivers, who will likely face a period of adjustment -- especially becoming used to stopping on Depot Street.
