Zoning change approved for 41A property

Bedford County Board of Commissioners voted Tuesday night to grant a rezoning to Wayne and Adrian Bomar for property bordered by U.S. 41A (New Tullahoma Highway), State Route 64 (Wartrace Pike) and State Route 437 (the Shelbyville bypass). The Bomars had asked for the property to be rezoned from A-1 (agriculture) to C-2 (commercial), saying the construction of the bypass and the forthcoming widening of 41A had harmed its suitability for residential use and made it more appropriate to sell as a possible commercial site.. ...

Winds damage historic church (Local News ~ 06/11/14)
Monday night's storms caused damage to the building and grounds of the South's oldest Lutheran church. Cedar trees in the cemetery at Shofner's Lutheran Chapel on U.S. 41A South snapped due to straight line winds and shingles were blown off the roof. The church was founded in 1808 and rebuilt after a fire in 1867, according to Michael Shofner, church board member and trustee, who was on the grounds Tuesday morning to inspect the damage. I haven't been to our local Chili's since the installation of tabletop tablets a few weeks back, but I'm told they're there. Dallas-based Ziosk is installing more than 45,000 of its tablets at 823 company-owned Chili's restaurants and is working towards equipping all of the franchisee-owned restaurants as well...
