Jo Ann Wooton, 68, of White House, a native of Shelbyville, died Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2014 at Vanderbilt Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Austin and Bell Funeral Home in White House with Joel Plunkett and Troy Nicholson officiating. Burial will follow at White House Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held from 2-4 p.m. Friday and beginning at 8 a.m. Saturday.

Inmate sues over jail conditions

A Bedford County inmate has filed a federal civil rights against the current and former sheriff, claiming jail overcrowding and lack of medical attention.
