Sometime early Monday morning a main water line busted near the walking trails in H.V. Griffin park behind the baseball fields. Calls began early that morning concerning the rupture. David Crowell, general manager of Shelbyville Power, Water and Sewerage, said there would be some disruptions in service for a few customers in the area, but most would still have water just at lower pressures. "They may not have the pressure they are used to" stated Crowell, "but we are backfeeding with low pressure until the problem is fixed." Two families are now homeowners thanks to Habitat for Humanity. Holly D'Amato and Robin Howard are moving into their new homes on Nutmeg Drive, homes that they never dreamed they could own.
