Inspection data for Celebration released

The USDA inspection numbers for The Celebration show 52 percent of swab tests were positive. A total of 125 swab samples were taken, with 65 showing positive for foreign substances, USDA data shows. Charges may be filed in fatality

More details have been released about the traffic accident in which a Shelbyville woman died Saturday night on U.S. 41A South. The victim, Linda H. Talley, 66, of Shelbyville, was a passenger in a car driven by her husband, Richard Talley. Their car was struck head-on by a car driven by Marilyn C. Flannery, 73, of Shelbyville, State Trooper Casey Newsom's report said. Criminal charges are "pending" against Flannery, according to the report...

Assault charge filed after alleged attack

A Shelbyville man was charged with aggravated domestic assault after being accused of severely beating a woman at a North Main street motel Monday night. Shaun Gibson allegedly woke up an acquaintance and inflicted what police termed "several facial injuries" as he beat and kicked her into unconsciousness.
