Thief tries to sell more than $1,000 worth of aluminum

An estimated 1,300 pounds of scrap aluminum vehicle parts and accessories stolen from a salvage yard on U.S. 41A North were sold to a Shelbyville scrap dealer Friday, according to a Bedford County Sheriff's Department report.
